This spring, I photographed a beautiful May Day inspired wedding styled shoot designed by wedding planner and designer Heather Benge at the historic Whitehall estate in Annapolis, Maryland. The pretty grounds of Whitehall were perfect for this romantic shoot with its waterfront views, open fields, and impressive architecture. Yone and John Stergar modeled as bride and groom for this shoot. Yone wore the gorgeous Paisley gown designed by Enaura Bridal Coture. Brushed Beauty styled her hair into a loose and romantic fishtail updo, with flowers tucked into her hair, and Zero Beauty completed the look with a classic and romantic bridal look. Intrigue Teaches designed an amazing pink and peach cascading bridal bouquet, and John wore a gray suit with a pink tie and boutonniere to match the florals.

The al fresco reception inspiration for this shoot was designed by Heather Benge Events. A round dinner table was covered in a sky blue velvet linen featuring an oversized centerpiece with cascading colorful ribbons reminiscent of a May Day Pole. The table was set with textured blue plates, blue glass goblets, ivory and gold cutlery, elegant menu cards, and a fun pop of color from ribbon tied floral watercolor napkins. By incorporating vivid colors and a floral color block motif, Angyono Custom Cakes made an impressive wedding cake perfect for this inspiration shoot. The three tier cake featured a white base covered with a hand drawn floral designs and adorned with handmade gum paste flowers. The upper two tiers had a pretty blue watercolor look, and was topped with a large and impressive gum paste flower.
