Inspired by the scenic and dramatic Southern California landscape, this styled shoot at Rancho Pavo Real is filled with beauty. Grace and Gold Events coordinated this elegant editorial with gorgeous florals designed by Leta Verbena and calligraphy by Lavender and Sea. This editorial was recently featured on The Perfect Palette.
Rancho Pavo Real is a new wedding venue set in an avocado grove nestled in the rolling hills of Fallbrook, California. Although Rancho Pavo Real is a functioning avocado ranch, you might encounter a few peacocks running around. The presence of peacocks around the venue inspired hand-drawn peacock feather place cards and peacock feather accents in the floral arrangements. The turquoise invitation suite had a classy modern look featuring calligraphy and deckled edges. The turquoise paired beautifully with a neutral desert inspired palette of blush, gray, and green.
The bride stunned in an elegant Blush by Hayley Paige gown featuring a Marrakesh beaded sweetheart bodice and a cascading tulle skirt - perfect for an upscale outdoor wedding. Her hair was styled with loose curls, and her makeup provided a natural, romantic look.. Turquoise and gold triangle drop earrings and a lush horizontal style bouquet completed her bridal look. The bridal bouquet featured roses, white delphiniums, peach hypericum, blush sweet peas and turquoise dyed dried hydrangea. And we couldn’t forget the fact that this is an avocado ranch, so the groom wore an emerald green suit paired with a gray velvet bow tie, a white and turquoise hydrangea boutonnière and classic brown leather shoes.
Custom metal cathedral windows created by Enticing Tables were a unique design element for the ceremony, giving the unrestricted outdoors a defined ceremony space while also allowing a more traditional church feel. The cathedral windows were adorned with a floral spray and a large bottle-style vase filled with towering white delphiniums at the base. Guest seating was comprised of wooden pew style benches.
The reception design featured a black hairpin table with accompanying blush and sea velvet dining chairs. White and blush plates were topped with place cards and linen napkins. Vintage blush goblets, copper flatware, and mismatched brass candlesticks holding white tapers contrasted nicely with the black table. A floral garland of Italian ruscus with Juliet roses, white ranunculus, white delphinium and echeveria succulents completed the look. A large wooden calligraphy seating chart, illustrated specialty cocktail sign and small layer cake decorated with succulents and a pop of florals completed the reception design.
