This gorgeous Hacienda inspired shoot took place at the historic Barnsley Manor just outside Philadelphia. Filled with bright colors, beautiful floral arrangements, and unique touches like a floral installation on an arching tree for the ceremony, this shoot is sure to inspire! This editorial was recently featured on Chic Vintage Brides.
The hacienda-inspired styling was loosely based on old world opulence and timeless elegance. Loud bursts of color coexist with rich metallic golds and muted stone to create a feeling of celebration and grace amidst friends and family.
Nicole Bridal helped to select a dress that beautifully complimented the bride and fit seamlessly into the Hacienda-inspired theme. The bride wore a wedding gown from Israeli designer Julie Vino that featured a deep v neck and fit & flair shape with a delicate patterned embroidery. The gown paired beautifully with a lush vibrant bouquet, floral crown, and statement earrings designed by Marnie Lewis Jewelry.
Petunia Bergamot and Bloom Flower Co gave the shoot an elegant feel with bright and colorful centerpieces featuring unique flowers and a floral installation on an arching tree at the outdoor ceremony site. The reception took place indoors and used textured linens, elegant gold patterned plates, crystal chargers and gold flatware were paired with bright pink napkins, colorful glassware, and aqua seat cushions to create a vibrant and elegant look.
For the wedding cake, The Novel Baker wanted to incorporate an element that was unexpected, and used appliqués as the center of the inspiration. Appliqués are often used on wedding cakes; however, they are typically petite in size and their composition is delicate and fragile. Her inspiration came from appliqués engraved into heavy objects such as wooden bowls. Choosing just the right size and thickness for the appliqués allowed them to curve and swirl into their own pattern so they could exhibit an airy movement that transcended into more of a bridal design. The finishing touch was the gold edging. Our baker hoped the opulence of this metallic embellishment would marry the artifactual design into a bride’s dreamy confectionary statement.
